Lyons Cafe

Lyons Café and Bakeshop on Quay St, in the centre of Sligo town, is run by owner Gary Stafford. They do a great range of chutney , catering services and a bakery on our ground floor premises.

Some of our favorite sandwiches are Lebanese grilled chicken on rye, with sumac, lemon, rocket & garlic mayo, Merc Sandwich with bacon and eggs, Steak Sandwhich or Editham ham sandwich.

Down stairs is great for cake and coffee, but if you are looking for something more filling they do a fantastic breakfast until 12.00 (Monday - Friday) and until 12.30 on a Saturday.

Their Full Irish breakfast and Lyons special (French toast and bacon) are our top picks. They do stunning dinners after breakfast along with a great salad selection.

Drumcliffe Tea House

This charming tea house and craft shop offers good wholesome food together with mouth watering home made cakes and desserts. There is a selection of Yeats and Irish interest books to browse through, complimented by a distinctive selection of original quality crafts.

The cakes are to die for and if they have soup on our favorite is sweet potato and chorizo.

Mammy Johnston's

Mammy Johnston's is an ice cream parlour based in beautiful Strandhill, they make award winning homemade ice cream on site and serve crepes, cakes, coffee and much more.

Some of our favourites are white chocolate and biscuit, Snickers and bounty ice cream. They have some really good coffee and the setting is just want you need down by the beach after a good spin on the bike.

If you love Crepes & Pancakes they are made fresh to order. Choose from a sweet or savory menu with a variety of options including fresh fruit, Nutella, maple syrup, mini marshmallows and many more.

We couldn't have a list without the Winner of Best Cafe in Ireland 2018 at the Irish Restaurant Awards.This is a little bit outside sligo, but a great stop if you are out around lough easky.

They have a great selection of Artisan breads + pastries + local organic produce, all homemade.

Some of our favorites here have to be the French Toast, scramble eggs on toast and of course the victiory sponge cake with a nice cup of coffee.

They also do baking classes, learn all the essentials for making your own lovely loaves at home. They focus on White Yeast Loaves, herby Foccacia and a Brioche style sharing bread.These classes are really popular, so keep an eye on their website,. These really sell out fast.

Grappa Cafe

A cosy and welcoming cafe with a wide range of options Breakfast-famous homemade scones, pancakes & eggs benedict Lunch-wraps, pitta breads, panini, bagels & large salad selection.

The lads int he shop give two thumbs up to their pesto toasted chicken sandwich which is always a hit at lunchtime in the shop. 

They also have a scrumptious range of homemade desserts. Hot and cold drinks and have great options if you are coeliac.

The Little Cottage Cafe

The menu offers simple, tasty, quality food with a very warm and friendly atmosphere. You defiently want to have done the kilometers before arriving, as they have so many fantastic dishes.

Some of our favorites are the breakfast bap which is scrumptious. They ave a great selection of soups, sandwiches, cakes, scones and the pancakes are a real treat with bacon.

If the weather is good the outside is a great spot to have a coffee and watch the world go by. We highly recommend this place, and there is good space outside for the bikes.
